WORKER RIGHTS & THE CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)

Our nation’s workers have been on the front-line of issues arising from the coronavirus pandemic. Please know that the Sugar Law Center is here to help in any way that we can.

During these times, it is important that workers understand their rights and that persons who would exploit the crisis for their own gain are held accountable.  The following information seeks to educate workers regarding certain rights that are at risk during the coronavirus pandemic.

TAKE THE WARNINGS SERIOUSLY

• FOLLOW THE RECOMMENDED PRECAUTIONS OF THE U.S. CENTERS FOR DISEASE CONTROL:

  • Wash hands often

  • Avoid close contact with others (6 feet)

  • Practice social isolation

  • Cover coughs and sneezes

  • Wash/disinfect commonly used surfaces

  • Stay home if you are sick and seek medical treatment

  • Seek medical treatment if you are showing symptoms of Covid 19
